Second suspect charged in South Franklin Township shooting
State police have charged a second suspect with attempted homicide and kidnapping in connection with an alleged abduction and shooting last week in South Franklin Township.
Richard Dewey Lacks Jr., 23, of Washington, also faces charges of aggravated assault and conspiracy in the Sept. 5 shooting of Marcus Stancik, also of Washington, along Cove Road. Stancik, who did not suffer life-threatening injuries in the shooting, managed to escape from his captors by jumping into a lake and swimming away about 10:40 p.m., authorities have said. Police have not revealed a motive in the case.
Keith Anthony “Sin” Rosario, 26, of Washington, was arrested Wednesday as the person suspected of shooting Stancik from behind in the neck. He was placed in Washington County Jail without bond. District Judge Ethan Ward set Lacks’ bond Monday at $1 million. He has been in the jail since Wednesday on a parole violation.
