Westbound lane of I-70 to close at Speers Bridge
A single-lane closure of the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 in the area of the Speers Bridge between Exit 42 (North Belle Vernon/Fayette Avenue interchange) and Exit 39 (Speers/ Maple Drive interchange) will begin at 8 p.m. Monday, with an anticipated completion time of 6 a.m. Thursday, weather permitting.
This will allow crews to paint the structure over the westbound lane.
Expect heavy traffic delays and backups, and alternate routes should be used, the state Department of Transportation advises.
Extreme caution should be used as workers will be present around the clock and adjacent to traffic. State police will be present throughout this time.
