Driver faces charges: Joseph M. Gilkey, 21, of Rillton, Westmoreland County, faces charges including flight to avoid apprehension and a stop sign violation after running from California police during a traffic stop early Saturday at the intersection of Hickory and Seventh streets. Gilkey was caught a few blocks away. He was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for a blood test to determine his alcohol level.

Three face charges: Adam Brown, 21, of Burgettstown, and Jacob Colarossi, 21, and Tanner Deardorff, 21, both of Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, will be charged by California police with violating the borough’s disorderly house ordinance for allegedly having a loud party at their apartment at 512 Second St. Saturday night.

Two injured: Melissa Champion, 34, of Pittsburgh, and Caitelyn Brindle Stump, 16, no address listed, were injured Friday night when the vehicle driven by Champion struck a utility pole in the 400 block of Franklin Avenue, Canonsburg police said. Police said there may have been a mechanical issue with the vehicle. The two were taken to St. Clair Hospital for treatment.

Rocks thrown: Ty Christian Camp, 18, of 9 Meriage St., McDonald, will be charged by McDonald police with underage drinking, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after he allegedly threw rocks early Saturday at an East Lincoln Avenue business.

Threats alleged: Elgene Steward, 44, who has two addresses in Monessen, is charged by city police with aggravated assault, simple assault, illegal possession of a firearm and making terroristic threats, court records show. Police accuse him of placing a gun to Jody Hill’s face and attempting to rip her earrings out about 11 p.m. Sunday at 416 Delaware Ave. Steward is in Westmoreland County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.

Man jailed: James R. Floyd, 49, of 215 Aliquippa Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with drug possession with intent to deliver, drug possession, resisting arrest, giving police a false identification and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, court records show. Police accuse Floyd of having 15 small bags of crack and attempting to flee during a traffic stop about 2:15 a.m. Sunday at Third Street and Schoonmaker Avenue. He is in Westmoreland County jail on $15,000 bond set by District Judge Denise S. Thiel.

DUI crash: Jonathan V. Welsh, 21, of 16 Smallwood Ave., Eighty Four, faces a charge of DUI after his vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by Amy Beth Bricker, 39, of 250 Bank St., Brownsville, at a roundabout at Route 519 and Brownlee Road, about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, North Strabane police said. A passenger in Bricker’s vehicle, Charles Harris, 69, also of 250 Bank, was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment. Police said Welsh’s blood alcohol level was almost double the 0.08 limit presumed for intoxication.

Two injured: Melissa M. McKinley, 41, of 5520 Liberty St., California, and her passenger, Brandon D. Howard, 22, of 477-A Pike Run Drive, Daisytown, were injured Saturday after her car went off Route 519, through the grass at the North Strabane Township building and hit a light pole at the intersection of Township Lane. McKinley told North Strabane police she may have blacked out before the crash. Both were taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.

Roundabout crash: Dennis A. Gutierrez, 56, of 1400 Palmer Park Road, Donora, was injured when his vehicle hit a curb in the roundabout on Route 519 near Rush Lane and then went over a small hill into a culvert about 8:45 p.m. Saturday, North Strabane police said. A passenger, John Thomas Pazics, 71, of 309 W. 12th St., Donora, was slightly injured. Gutierrez was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment.

Chain saw stolen: Bryan Miller, 6109 Maple Grove Road, Robinson, told McDonald police Saturday his chain saw was stolen from his garage.

Burglary Arrest: Lonnie J. Astle, 32, of Charleroi, was arrested Friday by Roscoe-Elco-Stockdale-Allenport regional police on charges of burglary, theft, criminal trespass and conspiracy for allegedly breaking into a building at 316 Furlong Ave., Roscoe, and stealing scrap metal. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County Jail on $20,000 bond.

Theft alleged: Matthew Brian Greene, 38, of 321 Market St., Belle Vernon, is charged by township police with theft and receiving stolen property over allegations he stole $180 from a wallet dropped by an employee of Walmart, 100 Sara Way, behind a bench outside of his workplace about 9 a.m. Sept. 1, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges via summons Thursday.

Boy injured: An 11-year-old Webster boy was flown to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC after his bicycle went into the path of a vehicle at Rose Street and Route 906 north in Webster about 2:15 p.m. Sunday, township police said. The boy’s name and that of the driver were not released. He did not appear to have suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.

Theft arrest: Nathan Sam Kronemer, 39, of 459 Spring St., Richeyville, was arrested Friday morning by South Strabane police on charges of retail theft and possessing instruments of a crime after he allegedly stole five items valued at $561 from Walmart, Trinity Point. He also reportedly had a razor he would use to cut spider wrap. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and released after posting $5,000 bond.

Pole hit: James Jimirro Jr., 46, of 1109 Marion St., New Eagle, escaped injury Sunday morning when his pickup truck crashed into a utility pole in the 700 block of Davis School Road. South Strabane police said the truck traveled west on the berm before hitting the pole and going another 50 feet.

One injured: Patricia Allegood, 51, of Pittsburgh, was treated at the scene after her vehicle was struck Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Locust Avenue and Manifold Road. South Strabane police said she was struck by a vehicle driven by Rosemary Miller, 77, of 175 Glenwood Drive, Washington, who had gone through a red light on Manifold.

Bike stolen: A resident in the 100 block of Brookside Avenue reported to city police Saturday a green Huffy mountain bike was stolen from his yard overnight.

Home entered: A man who lives in the 400 block of Henderson Avenue reported to city police he found a brick on his front porch and the window broken out of his front door Friday evening. The man said several items were overturned in the home and $400 was stolen. He told police the suspect may be known to him.
