Construction equipment damaged: Electrical wiring on paving equipment was damaged and its battery stolen late Sept. 17 or early Sept. 18 while it was parked at Portal and Whites Ridge roads in Franklin Township, state police said. The equipment is owned by Ten Mile Construction.

Assault by prisoner alleged: Michael Andrew Pennypacker, 31, an inmate at SCI-Greene, was charged by state police with assault by prisoner and aggravated harassment by prisoner, after he allegedly threw bodily fluids on a corrections officer last year. Police said just after 9 p.m. Nov. 14, the officer was collecting inmate food trays when the fluid struck his face and shoulder. Police said Pennypacker then threatened the officer, who was taken to WHS-Greene hospital for an evaluation.
