Cellphone damaged: Alyssa M. Shemasek of 159 Ernest Ave., Monongahela, told Canonsburg police Thursday her cellphone was damaged while she was at 302 Oak Spring Road.

Son arrested: Patrick Lee Starr, 20, of 926 Weirich Ave., Washington, was arrested Friday morning by state police on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment after he allegedly assaulted his mother at their Canton home. When police arrived, they said they spotted Starr holding two baseball bats in his hands. His mother told police Starr started yelling at her about 1 a.m. and it continued all night. He allegedly broke her bedroom door. Starr was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Man charged: Levi Cody Seman, 26, of 13 Spruce Way, Stockdale, is charged by state police with escape and flight over allegations he removed an electronic home monitoring device under a Fayette County conviction and fled from his residence on a bicycle during a probation check about 5:30 p.m. Feb. 14, court records show. Police filed the case Wednesday before District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Assault arrest: William C. Smith, 58, of 293 Locust Ave., Washington, was arrested early Friday by Washington police on a charge of simple assault. He is accused of kicking down a door and striking his 21-year-old girlfriend during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Two charged: Eric Wheeler, 55, of 1187 Maple Terrace, Washington, and John Wheeler, 57, of 540 W. Chestnut St., Washington, will be charged with harassment stemming from a confrontation at John Wheeler’s home Thursday night. Eric Wheeler is accused of slapping Lisa Kelley, 38, of 540 W. Chestnut St., knocking off her glasses. John Wheeler allegedly pushed Eric Wheeler, causing him to fall down steps. Police were called back to the home about 1:30 a.m. Friday when Kelley and John Wheeler were reportedly shouting at each other outside the home. He will be charged with disorderly conduct.
