Missing woman found in Washington Park

Emergency responders found a 24-year-old woman who was reportedly threatening to commit suicide and who left her home and entered the woods near Washington Park Sunday afternoon.
Police said Chelsea Cole was found in the woods behind the park pool near the Fraternal Order of Police lodge and city garage shortly after 4 p.m. by Canonsburg Ambulance personnel and was being transported to Washington Hospital for evaluation. Lt. David Bradley said Cole was hot and had some scratches, but otherwise appeared to be in good shape.
Cole was last seen by her family about 12:40 p.m. at the home she shares with her grandmother at 803 E. Wheeling St., said Sgt. Michael Sulerud. Police were notified about 30 minutes later.
Washington police were joined in the search by police from East Washington and South Strabane and North Franklin townships, firefighters from the city, Canton, North and South Franklin and North and South Strabane townships, Ambulance and Chair and Canonsburg Ambulance, Lifeflight and a search dog from the Franklin, W.Va., fire department. Washington County Department of Public Safety responded with its command vehicle.
Dunn Avenue was blocked at Vernon C. Neal Sports Complex during the search, and traffic was rerouted onto Park Drive.
