Police Beat Sept. 25
One injured: Jillian Burt, 39, of Eighty Four, was slightly injured Saturday morning when a pickup truck driven by Mark A. Loveland, 60, of Washington, pulled into her path from Anderson Drive as she traveled west on Route 40 in Amwell, state police said. Loveland was cited for vehicle improperly entering the road.
Assault arrest: Jarrid Javaughn Meade, 26, of Uniontown, was arrested Saturday morning by Charleroi Regional police on charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after he allegedly assaulted a woman inside a vehicle in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue, North Charleroi. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.
Driver injured: Jacob Henson, 22, of Allison Park, was slightly injured early Sunday when his vehicle went off Mingo Creek Road near Park Road, Nottingham, and hit a tree, state police said.
Driver faces charges: Kenneth Boyer, 39, of 165 Kings Creek Road, Burgettstown, will be charged by McDonald police with driving under the influence of alcohol after he was found about 12:45 a.m. Sunday passed out behind the wheel of his pickup truck with the engine still running off Maple Grove Road, Robinson. Police said his blood-alcohol content was more than double the 0.08 percent limit presumed for intoxication. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Traci McDonald.
