WAYNESBURG – A Nemacolin man was found guilty Friday by a Greene County jury of simple assault for punching a man in the face April 1, 2016, at the Route 21 Mobile Home Park in Cumberland Township.

Gregory Thomas Walters, 31, of 161 Wood Lane, also was found guilty by the court, following the jury verdict, of the summary offenses of disorderly conduct and driving while his operating privileges were suspended or revoked.

According to the criminal complaint, Walters punched the driver of a car behind his after the two vehicles turned off Route 21 into the mobile home park.

Walters exited his vehicle and asked the man why he was following him. The man said he wasn’t following him. Walters punched the man in the face as the man sat in his car, causing a laceration above his left eye.
