Assault charge: Timothy Lee Black, 27, of 116 Parkview Knoll Road, Carmichaels, was charged with simple assault and harassment. Cumberland Township police were dispatched to the Parkview Knoll office March 14 after Robert Fike told police he was staying at Black’s residence and Black and Laportia Thompson told him to leave the residence. When Fike did not leave, Black allegedly hit him in the face several times. Police said Fike was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Trespassing charge: James Robert Vernon, 24, of 107 Turkey Knob Road, Greensboro, was charged with trespassing after Cumberland Township police said they found him hiding in a bus shelter at the Parkview Knoll housing complex March 25. The complex, according to the criminal complaint, had a “no trespassing” order signed by Vernon on file. Police said they also recovered items from Vernon that reportedly belonged to a resident at 111 Parkview Knoll.
