Police: Man assaults two patrons at Richeyville bar
RICHEYVILLE – A Long Branch man is facing charges that he severely assaulted a customer in a bar in Richeyville late Friday.
Centerville police arrested Jordan A.J. Poky, 25, of 103 Walnut St., after finding him asleep on a couch at his home following the 11 p.m. incident at Friendship Lounge in the borough’s Richeyville section, court records allege.
Police said Poky struck Steve Simms in the head, causing him to fall onto a hard-tiled floor and suffer serious head trauma. Simms was flown to a trauma center with injuries that also included a laceration near his eye, police stated in the affidavit.
Simms also was pushed into Lindsey Rohrer, causing her to fall onto a bar stool and table, resulting in her being taken by ambulance to a local hospital, the record states.
Poky is charged with two counts each of aggravated assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and simple assault and one count each of flight to avoid apprehension and public drunkenness.
He is free on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.
