BENTLEYVILLE
Drug charges: Nathan Bradley Raymond, 30, of 408 Old West Road, Bentleyville, was charged Tuesday by state police with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia after the items were found in a box inside a closet of his home. Police had been called March 31 for a report of a domestic dispute. Raymond was placed in Washington County jail on a probation warrant. The charges will be sent from the office of District Judge Curtis Thompson.
COKEBURG
Two arrested: Daniel J. Rawlings, 36, and Carol Givens, 26, both of 34 Madison St., Cokeburg, were arrested Tuesday night by state police after they allegedly assaulted each other during an altercation at their home. He is charged with aggravated assault, strangulation, simple assault and harassment for allegedly choking her and pulling her hair. She is charged with simple assault and harassment for allegedly punching him. Both were arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka. He was placed in Washington County jail on $15,000 bond. She is in jail on $5,000 bond.
MONESSEN
Theft alleged: Kelley Ulander, 49, of 523 Rankin Road, Rostraver Township, is charged by city police with theft and receiving stolen property over allegations she stole more than $3,000 from a Subway, 2 Eastgate Ave., while she worked there between Feb. 28 and March 16, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso signed a warrant Monday for Ulander’s arrest.
Man charged: Chris Bozik, 35, of 504 Park Manor Drive, Monessen, is charged by city police with theft and receiving stolen property over accusations he stole a laptop computer from a relative at about 3:30 p.m. March 31 who resides nearby, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges in a summons Monday.
SOMERSET
Two charged: Devin Lee Sadler, 35, of 602 Water St., Brownsville, and Robert William Petrick Sr., 42, of 159 Almond Road, Bentleyville, were charged last week by state police in connection with an April 3 traffic stop on Interstate 70 at the Kammerer exit, Somerset. Police stopped Sadler’s vehicle for an equipment violation. Found inside the vehicle was cocaine, marijuana and paraphernalia. Sadler is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of cocaine, marijuana and paraphernalia and traffic violations. Petrick is charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana and paraphernalia. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Curtis Thompson.
SOUTH STRABANE
Driver injured: Karen Lowry, 55, of Houston, was injured Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at Manifold Road and Route 19. South Strabane police said Lowry had the green light as she drove from Manifold, across Route 19 approaching Cameron Road when she was struck by a vehicle driven by William G. Berkey, 50, of Masontown. Berkey had been going north on Route 19 and went through a red light, police said. Lowry was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. Berkey was cited for the red light violation, police said.
WASHINGTON
Woman assaulted: A 38-year-old woman told Washington police she was assaulted by a man inside her home in the 800 block of Addison Street early Wednesday. The man, whom she knows, said he was coming over but did not show up for several hours so she went to bed. The two reportedly got into an argument. He allegedly hit her several times in the face before picking up a knife. She said she was able to get the knife away from him. He then ran from the house.
Apartment burglarized: John Little of Hickory told Washington police Tuesday his brother’s apartment at 88 E. Maiden St., was burglarized. He was checking on the apartment and found the stove had been used. DVDs also were stolen.
Cellphone stolen: Julio Antfalk of Washington told Washington police Monday an iPhone was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in the 300 block of Maple Avenue.
