BURGETTSTOWN
Woman arrested: Stephanie Ann Rankin, 23, of 1338 Main St., Burgettstown, was arrested Saturday by McDonald police on charges of simple assault, harassment and public drunkenness after she allegedly struck a man in the back during a confrontation at her apartment. She was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and released after posting $10,000 bond.
CANONSBURG
Vehicle damaged: James and Janice Wilson told Canonsburg police Friday that the hood, fender and mirror of their vehicle was damaged while the vehicle was parked near their home in the 500 block of Duquesne Avenue.
Items stolen: David Adams told Canonsburg police Friday that a PlayStation and iPhone were stolen from his home in the 100 block of Boyle Avenue.
CHARTIERS
Drug charges: Andrew Wernert, 35, of 465 Linnwood Drive, Canonsburg, was charged last week by Chartiers police with possession of heroin and paraphernalia and four counts of reckless endangerment. He allegedly was found with 12 stamp bags of suspected heroin and a syringe while being checked into Premier Health Center, 36 Hickory Ridge Road, on March 30. He allegedly endangered four caregivers who were attempting to check him into the facility. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Trespass charge: Joseph Donald Garner Jr., 33, of 181 Sassafras Drive, North Franklin Township, was charged last week by Chartiers police with criminal trespass after he allegedly entered a home in the 300 block of Castle Road on March 27 without permission. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
SMITH
Charged in assault: Chad Thomas Abbott, 23, of 13 Hubbard Road, Burgettstown, was arrested early Saturday by Smith police on charges of strangulation, simple assault, false imprisonment, harassment, disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana stemming from a confrontation inside a vehicle on Francis Mine and Dinsmore roads. His girlfriend told police that he struck her and choked her. He also allegedly would not let her get out of the vehicle. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond.
SOUTH STRABANE
Drug, receiving charges: Gary D. Wells, 61, of 1165 Arch St., Washington, was arrested Saturday night by South Strabane police after officers were called for a report of a stolen vehicle in a parking lot off Oak Spring Road. Police stopped the vehicle as it was leaving the lot and took Wells into custody. The Jeep Wrangler had been reported stolen Friday to state police. Police said they found suspected crack and marijuana in the vehicle. Wells was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of receiving stolen property, possession of crack and paraphernalia and traffic violations. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond.
UNION
Threats, assault arrest: Alyssa M. Janeski, 30, of 31 Ray Lane, Finleyville, was arrested Sunday night by Monongahela police after an altercation with her mother at their Union home. Janeski is accused of threatening to kill her mother and a friend, and punching her mother. Janeski was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief. She was released from Washington County Jail after posting $10,000 bond.
Two face charges: Sara Marie Hollerich, 24, and Michael Devers, 25, both of 2105 Rankintown Road, Union, were taken into custody Saturday by Monongahela police after an altercation that reportedly started in their home and spilled onto the street. Both are accused of having a gun around their young daughter, who was only a few feet away. Hollerich was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment. She was released from Washington County Jail after posting $10,000 bond. Devers, who was placed in jail on a parole detainer, will be charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.
WASHINGTON
Mischief, loitering charges: Ashley Marie White, 36, of 161 Hall Ave., Washington, was arrested Saturday night by Washington police on charges of criminal mischief, loitering and prowling at night, defiant trespass and disorderly conduct. She allegedly was banging on doors of homes on Court Street, telling people they owed her money, and reportedly damaged windows at one home. She was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond.
WEST BROWNSVILLE
Assault arrest: Jon Andrew Crowe Jr., 26, of 1405 Sheridan Ave., Brownsville, was arrested Sunday on a warrant obtained by state police charging him with simple assault and harassment for allegedly punching a 23-year-old woman during a March 3 confrontation at a home on Middle Street, West Brownsville. He also is accused of trying to push her down the stairs. Crowe was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington County Jail on a $5,000 percentage bond.
