Court cases
Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Among those appearing before Judge Gary Gilman were:
Evan Glenn Bell, 50, 803 Fallowfield Ave., Apt. 3, Charleroi; intercept of communications; charged Oct. 1, 2014; sentence – six to 12 months in jail.
Connie Jean McConnell, 45, 1150 N. Branch Road, McDonald; bad checks; charged Dec. 1, 2016; sentence – six months of probation and restitution.
James Large, 25, 1319 Corrin Ave., Monongahela; simple assault; charged Jan. 10, 2017; sentence – six to 23 months in jail and no contact with the victim.
Travis William Hickly, 28, 3576 Marion Ave., Finleyville; simple possession and delivery of a controlled substance; charged March 18 and April 30, 2017; sentence – one year less one day to two years less two days in jail and 12 months of probation.
James Albert Anthony Jr., 29, 3842 Kelley Hollow Road, Monongahela; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged May 12; sentence – 12 months of probation
Kenneth Charles Poole, 20, 1007 High St., Brownsville; criminal trespass; charged Jan. 10; sentence – four years of probation and no contact with the victim.
Cameron Joseph Caudill, 19, 107 Knox Ave., Brownsville; criminal trespass; charged Jan. 10; sentence – four years of probation and no contact with the victim.
Appearing before Judge John F. DiSalle:
Kirk Ryan Rekasie, 21, 319 Grouse Road, Evans City; driving under the influence; charged July 9, 2016; sentence – six months in the intermediate punishment program, five days on electronic home monitoring, $1,000 fine and 100 hours of community service.
Matthew Ross Canistraro, 32, 165 Carol Road, Wellsburg, W.Va.; two counts of driving under the influence; charged April 6 and 21, 2017; sentence – five years in the intermediate punishment program, six months on electronic home monitoring, $2,500 fine, 30-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months of ignition interlock device.
Gregory Lee Crouch Sr., 51, 162 Coal Valley Road, Clairton; driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia; charged June 16 and 18; sentence – 12 months of probation, five years in the intermediate punishment program, six months on electronic home monitoring, $1,700 fine, 30-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months of ignition interlock device.
Dominick Dwayne Devenney, 20, 410½ Pike St., Meadowlands; two counts of driving under the influence; charged July 18 and 19; sentence – five years in the intermediate punishment program, six months on electronic home monitoring, $2,500 fine, 30-month driver’s license suspension, 12 months of ignition interlock device and 50 hours of community service.
Larry Neil Confort, 55, 305 Old Scales Road, Washington; driving under the influence; charged Aug. 3; sentence – five years in the intermediate punishment program, six months on electronic home monitoring, $1,500 fine, 18-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months of ignition interlock device.
Ricky Allan Pietroboni, 40, 420 Second St., Monongahela; driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license; charged Aug. 21; sentence – six months in the intermediate punishment program, 120 days on electronic home monitoring, $1,300 fine, 24-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months of ignition interlock device.
Michael Walter Florian, 38, 500 Sylvan Drive, Washington; driving under the influence; charged April 19, 2017; sentence – five years in the intermediate punishment program, one month on electronic home monitoring, $2,500 fine, 18-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months of ignition interlock device.
Appearing before Judge Valarie Costanzo:
James Jermone Fagan III, 36, 221 North St., McDonald; driving with a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia; charged March 17, 2011; sentence – 12 months of probation, 60 days on electronic home monitoring and $300 fine.
Lemoyne Bush, 29, 112 Jollick Manor, Washington; retail theft and driving with a suspended license; charged June 3; sentence – 120 days in jail, two years in the intermediate punishment program, 90 days on electronic home monitoring, $500 fine, 100 hours of community service and no contact with Target.
The following recently appeared in Washington County Court for a first offense of driving under the influence and was admitted to the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program. If she successfully completes the program, she can petition the court to have her records expunged: Carol Ann Lane, 42, 85 First St., Westland.
