AMWELL

Vehicle overturns: No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash just before 2 p.m. Monday on Interstate 79 south, state police said. A pickup truck driven by Ammon Miller, 47, of Clairton, attempted to slow for a tractor-trailer in front of him and hit a car driven by Peter A. Miller, 22, of Clairton, which was traveling in left lane next to him. The car spun into a guardrail, and the pickup truck overturned and also hit a guardrail. Neither driver was hurt. A passenger in the truck and three passengers in the car also escaped injury.

BURGETTSTOWN

Theft charge: Bryan Salyer, 40, of 201 Cummins Ave., Houston, was charged last week by McDonald police with retail theft and driving with a suspended license after he allegedly stole items from Family Dollar, 1402 Main St., Burgettstown, March 9. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.

CANONSBURG

Loitering, trespass charges: Whalen Chabot, 37, of 150 W. Pike St., Canonsburg, was arrested Monday night by Canonsburg police after he allegedly entered a neighbor’s home without permission. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins on charges of criminal trespass, harassment and loitering and prowling at night. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

DONORA

Woman charged: Loretta Figolah, 34, of 506 Allen Ave., Donora, is charged by borough police with theft, trespassing and criminal mischief over allegations she kicked open a door at 1280 McKean Ave. and stole $450 and a smartphone from Gary Odenthal about 9:25 a.m. Saturday, court records show. District Judge Mark Wilson released her Monday on $5,000 unsecured bond.

DONALD

Former employee arrested: Joshua D. Juzwick of 114 N. McDonald St., McDonald, was arrested Monday by McDonald police for allegedly stealing between $19,000 and $21,000 while working at Colonial Beer, 305 W. Barr St., from September 2016 through January 2017. He allegedly told police he needed the money to take care of his daughter. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $35,000 bond.

MIDWAY

Trespass charge: Jason Patrick Dhans, 41, of 108 Dickson St., Midway, was charged by McDonald police with defiant trespass after he allegedly went to Kramer’s Tavern, 219 Dickson St., Midway, after he had been banned. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.

MONESSEN

Theft alleged: Everett Lance Wall, 64, of 924 Craig St., McKeesport, is charged by city police with burglary, trespassing and theft, court records show. Police accuse Wall of entering a residence in the 1100 block of Summit Avenue without permission and stealing a wallet about 9 p.m. Friday. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso signed a warrant Tuesday for Wall’s arrest.

Woman charged: Bernicky Mae Johnson, 47, of 409 Reed Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with theft over allegations she stole a cellphone from Edward Tolliver while she visited him briefly at 209 McKee Ave. about 8:30 p.m. April 11, court records show. She is free on unsecured bond set last week by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.

Drug charges: Melissa Sue Reece, 48, of 306 Lincoln Ave., Charleroi, is charged by city police with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia over allegations she had a small amount of an unknown white powder in her vehicle when police investigated a disturbance about 12:10 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of Ontario Street, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges Tuesday in a summons.

MONONGAHELA

Man charged: Michael Cody Tatar, 30, of 2 Hoon St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with fleeing from police, reckless endangerment and obstruction, court records show. Police accuse Tatar of speeding off from an attempted traffic stop at Chess and Sycamore streets about 12:40 p.m. Saturday and returning to his residence. District Judge Mark Wilson issued the charges by summons Monday.

NORTH FRANKLIN

Fugitive nabbed: Robert Steven Fuller, 24, of Ringgold, Va., was arrested by township police about 12:10 a.m. Tuesday at a residence in the 100 block of Hamilton Street, court records show. District Judge Larry Hopkins placed him in Washington County jail without bond, pending extradition to Danville, Va., where he has been wanted since February 2017 on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

WASHINGTON

Assaults alleged: A 21-year-old Washington woman told Washington police Monday she was assaulted several times over the weekend by her live-in boyfriend in an apartment at 1054 Jefferson Ave. She told police he burned her on her arm with a cigarette. Police will consult with the district attorney’s office about filing charges.

Rebar stolen: Jim Adams of Columbiana, Ohio, told Washington police Monday 88 pieces of rebar valued at $1,200 were stolen from a construction site at 83 Murtland Ave.
