Court cases

Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Among those appearing before Judge Gary Gilman were:

Kathleen Renee Conn, 31, 949 Arch St., Washington; promoting prostitution and driving with a suspended license; charged Aug. 7, 2016; sentence – six months of probation, $200 fine and 12-month driver’s license suspension.

Tyler Jordan Corbitt, 26, 1228 McKean Ave., Donora; disorderly conduct; charged April 10; sentence – 12 months of probation.

David Lewis Jennion Jr., 20, 108 Main St., Apt. 1, New Eagle; flight to avoid apprehension; charged May 9; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Appearing before Judge John F. DiSalle:

Joseph Charles Drag, 41, 115 W. 10th Ave., Tarentum; driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license; charged Aug. 27, 2015; sentence – six months in the intermediate punishment program, 30 days on electronic home monitoring, $1,200 fine, 24-month driver’s license suspension and 50 hours of community service.

Christopher Potts, 49, 19 Grant St. Extension, Bulger; two counts each of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license; charged April 3 and Aug. 2, 2017; sentence – five years in the intermediate punishment program, six months of probation, 17 months on electronic home monitoring, $5,750 fine, 30-month driver’s license suspension, 12 months of ignition interlock device and 100 hours of community service.

David H. Zgorzeliski, 50, 411 Cardinal Drive, Canonsburg; driving under the influence; charged March 29, 2017; sentence – 72 hours in jail, five years in the intermediate punishment program, six months on electronic home monitoring, $1,500 fine, 18-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months of ignition interlock device.

Robert John Ammon, 54, 872 Avella Road, Avella; driving under the influence; charged Aug. 21; sentence – five years in the intermediate punishment program, six months on electronic home monitoring, $1,500 fine, 18-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months of ignition interlock device.

Joseph M. Solominsky, 43, 4135 State Route 40, Claysville; driving under the influence; charged June 19, 2017; sentence – six months in the intermediate punishment program, five days on electronic home monitoring and $300 fine.

Walter H. Behanna, 64, 282 Shannon Road, Monongahela; strangulation, terroristic threats and simple assault; charged Nov. 17, 2017; sentence – 60 days in jail, five years in the intermediate punishment program, six months on electronic home monitoring, four months on ScramX monitor, two years of probation and 100 hours of community service.

Paul Thomas Popp, 54, 52 Stonecrest Lane, Cecil; driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license; charged Dec. 11; sentence – 30 days in jail, six months in the intermediate punishment program, 120 days on electronic home monitoring, $1,750 fine, 24-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months of ignition interlock device.

James Roy Pounds, 46, 7998 Noblestown Road, Midway; driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license; charged Nov. 9; sentence – 30 days in jail, six months in the intermediate punishment program, 70 days on electronic home monitoring, $2,000 fine and 12-month driver’s license suspension.

Appearing before Judge Valarie Costanzo:

Aaron N. Rawls Jr., 37, 606 S. Fifth St., Duquesne; unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license; charged March 26; sentence – three to 23 months in jail, 90 days in the intermediate punishment program, $500 fine and no contact with the victim.

The following recently appeared in Washington County Court for first offenses of driving under the influence and were admitted to the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program.
