Monessen woman charged in hammer assault
MONESSEN – A Monessen woman has been accused of striking her boyfriend in the head with a hammer, causing a substantial injury above his right eye.
Monessen police arrested Erin Nicole Walker, 33, of 26 Linden Ave., about 2:40 p.m. Saturday at her residence, where her boyfriend claimed the assault took place during an argument.

Slavik was treated for his injuries at Mon Valley Hospital.
Walker was released on $50,000 unsecured bond set by District Judge Wayne Gongaware.
