Route 88 work postponed

Construction for the Route 88 (McKean Avenue) bridge, spanning Maple Creek in Speers and Charleroi boroughs, Washington County, has been postponed until Aug. 20. It was previously scheduled to begin during the week of Aug. 13.

Work will be completed in mid-October. During construction, drivers will be directed to follow a car detour along First Street, Twilight Hollow Road and Interstate 70.
