Greene County coroner identifies N.C. driver killed in I-79 crash
Authorities have identified the driver killed Thursday morning in a two-car crash on Interstate 79 in Perry Township.
Marian J. Grabowski, 68, of North Carolina, died after driving across the grassy median near milemarker 3 and crashing into a northbound vehicle, Greene County Coroner Gene Rush said in a news release.
Grabowski died at the scene of the 5:22 a.m. crash. The cause and manner of death remain pending, Rush said.
The other driver, who was not identified, was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The northbound lanes of the interstate between the Mt. Morris and Kirby exits were closed for more than four hours while state police investigated.
