CANONSBURG
Warrant arrest: Latoya Rosiek, 33, of 1 Oak St., Muse, was taken into custody on an Allegheny County bench warrant when Canonsburg police were called Friday to an apartment on West Pike Street after she allegedly overdosed on prescription medication. She was placed in Washington County jail on the warrant.
EAST WASHINGTON
Burglary arrest: Scott Matthew Soukup, 32, of East Washington, was taken into custody on a warrant obtained by East Washington police charging him with burglary, theft and receiving stolen property after he allegedly stole a firearm and Rolex watch valued at $10,000 from an apartment on South Wade Avenue last month. The gun was later recovered. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
HOUSTON
Resisting, obstruction arrest: Donald Lee Wright, 58, of 529 McGovern Road, Chartiers Township, was arrested Saturday by Houston police on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and obstructing law enforcement. He allegedly was riding his bicycle when he started yelling at Chartiers police who were on a traffic stop. He reportedly continued to hurl insults at an officer. Wright was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
NORTH FRANKLIN
Charged in assault: David Allen Jones Jr., 25, of 2065 Arlington Ave., Washington, was charged Monday by North Franklin police with three counts of simple assault and one count of harassment after he allegedly assaulted a woman early Friday in the parking lot of a bar at 3390 W. Chestnut St. She told police he punched her twice in the face after she rebuffed his attempts to flirt with her. He also got into a scuffle with bystanders when they tried to intervene, police said. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
NORTH STRABANE
Motorcyclist injured: North Strabane police have identified the motorcyclist injured Sunday afternoon when he crashed his Harley-Davidson on Linden Road as Joseph Brandon Wallace, 29, of 260 Lacock St., Canton Township. Wallace was flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was not wearing a helmet. Police said the investigation is continuing.
SOUTH STRABANE
Charged in crash: Shiloh Dawn Ryan, 28, of 1672 Pierce St., Washington, was charged Monday by South Strabane police with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to notify police and careless driving. She is accused of crashing into a transformer box outside Krispy Kreme, 14 Trinity Point Drive, and leaving the scene July 26. Police said her blood-alcohol content was more than double the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
One injured: George Loutsion III, 51, of 310 Spruce St., Canonsburg, was injured in a two-vehicle crash Aug. 11 at Washington and Cameron roads, South Strabane police said. The other driver was identified as John Bulboff, 46, of 7 Cherry Lane, Coal Center.
Vehicle damaged: Tanya Main of 720 Michigan Ave. told South Strabane police Wednesday her vehicle was damaged by vandals.
Trailer stolen: A dual-axle trailer was reported stolen Thursday from Fischer-Bush equipment while it was parked at 487 Rankin Road.
Money stolen: Personnel at Harbor Freight, Washington Mall, told South Strabane police an employee stole $327.69 from the business last month. Police are investigating.
WASHINGTON
Charged with drug possession: Henry Blevins Jr., 84, of Youngstown, Ohio, was charged Monday by state police with possession of cocaine and paraphernalia as well as a traffic violation stemming from a traffic stop early Thursday in the 1000 block of Allison Ave., Washington. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Paraphernalia charge: Nicole Renee Finney, 36, of 231 Walnut St., Houston, was charged Monday by state police with possession of paraphernalia in connection with a July 20 traffic stop in the 300 block of East Maiden Street, Washington. She was a passenger in the vehicle. She was placed in Washington County jail that night on a warrant for failure to appear in court. She has since been released. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Mischief alleged: Donald Raymond Tupi, 58, of 27 Victoria St., Washington, was charged Monday by Washington police with criminal mischief after he allegedly damaged a neighbor’s vehicle July 23. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Theft, receiving charges: Robin Louise Ross, 37, of 695 Allison Ave., Washington, was charged Monday by Washington police with theft and receiving stolen property after she allegedly stole another woman’s prescription from CVS, 175 W. Beau St., Aug. 9. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Charged in theft: Malachi Curtis Simmons, 46, of 124 Charles St., Washington, was charged Monday by Washington police with retail theft and theft by deception after he allegedly ordered food from China Express, 857 Jefferson Ave., July 27 and then failed to pay for it. He reportedly told the driver he had used his debit card to pay for the food when he ordered it. The driver later learned the transaction had been denied. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Theft, warrant arrest: Brandon Julius Templeton, 32, of Scottdale, was arrested Saturday afternoon by Washington police on a charge of theft from a vehicle after he allegedly stole a cellphone, $58 and a driver’s license from a woman’s unlocked vehicle while it was parked near Citizens Library, 55 S. College St. Police also determined he was wanted on a warrant obtained by state police from District Judge Ethan Ward in 2015 charging him with burglary, theft and criminal mischief in connection with the Feburary 2013 break-in of a home on Laurie Lane in Amwell. He was arraigned on all of the charges before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $15,000 bond.
Hospital assault alleged: Sade Renee Pinkney, 22, of 617 Chestnut St., Monessen, was arrested Sunday morning by Washington police on a charge of aggravated assault after she allegedly assaulted a psychiatric aide in a treatment room at the psychiatric facility of Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Ave. She was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Change, cellphone stolen: Rebecca Belcastro of Beech Street told Washington police Sunday change and her cellphone were stolen from her vehicle.
Man assaulted: Derrick Jones, 19, of Washington, told Washington police he was assaulted by four men who punched and kicked him Saturday behind a building on Jefferson Avenue and West Maiden Street.
Wallet stolen: Audrey Rush of Wilson Avenue told Washington police Saturday her wallet containing $200 and a bank card was stolen from her vehicle.
Store burglarized: Washington police are investigating a burglary reported about 3:15 a.m. Saturday at Cogo’s, 501 Jefferson Ave. The front door was forced open. Surveillance shows the culprit is a younger, white man who is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall. He reportedly stole two or three cigars.
Man exposes himself: A 19-year-old woman told Washington police Friday a biracial man wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans knocked on the sliding glass door of her apartment at 235 W. Chestnut St. and exposed himself to her.
