Route 88 work postponed
Construction on the Route 88 (McKean Avenue) bridge spanning Maple Creek in Speers and Charleroi boroughs has been postponed until the week of Sept. 10. It was previously scheduled to begin last week.
During construction, drivers will be directed to follow a car detour along First Street, Twilight Hollow Road and Interstate 70. Work should be done in November. In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.
