CUMBERLAND

Simple assault charge: Timothy William Jordan Jr., 26, of 245 Fort Palmer Estates Road, Ligonier, was charged with simple assault and harassment by Cumberland Township police in connection with an incident Aug. 19. Patrick Swartz told police that Jordan, his estranged wife’s new boyfriend, assaulted him in a gas station parking lot in Cumberland Township during a custody exchange.
