Crash: State police responded to a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 70 in Somerset Friday night. Police said a BMW traveling eastbound struck the vehicle in front of it about 10:19 p.m. Police said the driver of the BMW attempted to flee the scene, but struck a concrete barrier, traveled across both lanes and struck a guardrail. Police said the driver then fled the scene on foot. Police said the driver of the vehicle that was rear-ended was not injured.

Assault charge: Robert Lee Martin, 44, of Washington, was charged by state police with simple assault and harassment for allegedly punching a victim in the face Saturday about 10:50 p.m. at a motel on Avalon Circle. Police said Martin also allegedly pulled the victim’s hair and threw the victim’s property across the room before fleeing the scene.
