No one has been charged in connection with a bank robbery that occurred Friday afternoon in Washington’s Tylerdale area.

City police were called about 4 p.m. to Washington Financial at 98 E. Wylie Ave. By the time the first officer arrived minutes later, the robber was already gone, according to a city police report.

A teller reported to police that a man approached her window and opened his wallet to display a note that said: “Give me all $100s, no dye packs, don’t say anything.”

When the teller questioned him, he reportedly presented the note. The teller only had a few hundred-dollar bills, so police said the robber told her softly to “just give it all.”

The teller handed over the rest of the money she had available, and he left. Police weren’t sure how much he took.

Police said surveillance footage shows the man coming through the bank parking lot in a black hoodie, dark boots, black baseball cap and black sunglasses, and described him as having a thin mustache and goatee.

The city police report indicates police had a suspect, but neither that person nor anyone else had been charged with the robbery as of Monday morning.
