A California woman is facing several charges after she allegedly fought emergency crews who responded to her home last month.

Josephine Emma Walker, 30, of 142 Strawberry Way, was unconscious on her couch the night of Nov. 7, when police and emergency medical workers responded to her home, according to the criminal complaint. Police said she had shallow breathing and her lips were blue. Police administered Narcan, and when EMS arrived on scene, they gave her more.

Police said that when Walker woke up, she “immediately became combative.” According to the complaint, Walker allegedly kicked a police officer in the knee, kicked an EMS worker and head-butted another EMS worker.

Police found one stamp bag and 18 similar plastic bags in a garbage can in Walker’s home. Walker allegedly told police that the stamp bag was a combination of heroin and fentanyl.

Walker was charged by California Borough police with three counts each of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment. Additionally, she was charged with 18 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count each of resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance.

She was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald-Kemp and released on a $25,000 unsecured bond.
