Seven charged with rioting in Chartiers Township
Seven Washington men were charged Monday in what police labeled a “gang-style fight” that left the victim with severe injuries outside of a Chartiers Township bar in September.
District Judge David Mark signed warrants in the case for the arrests of Darius Lamar Spinks, 24, of 866 Addison St.; Malik Deshawn Thomas, 25, of 340 Shirls Ave.; Eric McKinley Ellis, 24, of 123 Maple Terrace; Glenn Edward Davis, 28; Jevone Naveill Hairston, 24, of 244 N. Main St.; Thomas Deonte Hairston, 27, of 119 Wasler Way; and Jamarr Thomas Dates, 26, of 305 Third St., court records show.
They are accused of kicking and punching Michael Wright in the head after he was knocked to the ground about 2 a.m. Sept. 30 outside of Black Gold Bar at 2440.5 W. Pike St., Chartiers Township police stated in the affidavit.
Wright was beaten unconscious, taken to Washington Hospital and later transferred to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh due to the extent of his injuries, the court records show. His wallet also was stolen during the assault.
Court records did not state the motivation behind the assault.
All seven suspects face charges of riot, aggravated assault, simple assault and conspiracy.
