CALIFORNIA

Disorderly house citations: Jacob Michael Colarossi, 22, of Mechanicsburg, and Ryan James Wood, 20, of Washington, were each cited by California Borough police for violating the disorderly house ordinance for allegedly having house parties that were too loud. Police said Wood held a party Nov. 29 at Acassia Frat House in the 600 block of Park Street that attracted between 75 and 100 people. Police were called to Colarossi’s house in the 600 block of High Street about 2 a.m. Sunday for a party with loud music and about 100 people.

FREDERICKTOWN

Crash: State police said they responded to a residence on Bank Street about 6:25 a.m. Nov. 28 for a report of a 16-year-old boy who took his mother’s vehicle and crashed it into a detached garage. No injuries were reported, but the police report states a 13-year-old boy also was involved in the incident.

MARIANNA

Unauthorized use of vehicle: Hunter Dylan McCurley, 21, of 74 C St., Clarksville, was charged by state police with unauthorized use of a vehicle and driving under suspension after he allegedly drove his ex-girlfriend’s mother’s car without permission. Police said McCurley told them he had been making payments to the car owner, but the car owner told police she didn’t receive any money for the car and McCurley wouldn’t answer her phone calls about the vehicle. Police said McCurley was taken to Washington County jail on an unrelated arrest warrant.

MT. PLEASANT

Man charged: Township police charged Chad W. Kerns, 28, of Somerset County with drug possession with intent to deliver, drug possession and possession of paraphernalia. Police allegedly found 10 Xanax tablets, several dozen hypodermic needles, a small glass pipe with burnt residue, small baggies and $600 cash during a stop of a vehicle Kerns was driving on Burgettstown Road Saturday. Kerns was held in the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Traci McDonald.

SOMERSET

Identity theft charge: Candace Renee Sabatula, 39, of 204 Diamond Ave., Brownsville, was charged by state police with identity theft in connection with an incident in June 2017. Police said Sabatula opened a bank account using the name and information of an acquaintance. Police said the victim had no knowledge of the account and had not given Sabatula permission to open one.

Domestic disturbance: Christi Carol Ciarella, 42, and Michael Decatur Fitzhenry, 59, both of Texas, were charged with harassment following a domestic altercation Nov. 26 in their room at the Avalon Motel. Police said Ciarella told them in the parking lot that Fitzhenry stabbed her in the hand before going into the room to get a gun. Police later determined Fitzhenry didn’t have a gun and didn’t stab Ciarella or attack her with a weapon. Police determined the two had only pushed each other during the disturbance. Police said they found a hypodermic needle on Fitzhenry, so he was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Ciarella was additionally charged with giving a false report to law enforcement.

SOUTH STRABANE

Scam: State police reported that a 91-year-old Morris Township woman was the victim of a scam Monday afternoon. Police said she received a phone call about 3:30 p.m. from someone claiming to be her grandson. The caller asked her for a Home Depot gift card, police said. Police said the woman went to Home Depot, purchased a gift card and gave the card information to the person claiming to be her grandson over the phone.

WASHINGTON

Drug charges: State police filed charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia against Amber Nicole Brantley, 23, of Monongahela. Police said they arrested Brantley following a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Jefferson Avenue about 11:15 p.m. Monday. Police said she had a warrant for her arrest in Westmoreland County, where they transported her.
