SOUTH STRABANE
Tthefts reported: Kohl’s department store at Strabane Square reported to South Strabane police two thefts that occurred last week. According to police, a woman stole more than $2,000 from the store about 2:45 p.m. Thursday. The store has provided pictures of the woman and her vehicle to police, who are investigating. The store also reported an employee theft that allegedly happened just after 5 p.m. Friday. It was not immediately known if the two thefts were related.
WASHINGTON
Fleeing officers charge: Eric Eugene Bee, 36, of 430 W. Chestnut St., Washington, was charged by Washington police with flight to avoid apprehension after he allegedly ran from police last week. Police said they responded to Maple Terrace for the report of a break-in. Police said Bee was seen outside the residence.When police asked to speak to Bee, he ran. He was later arrested on Sycamore Street. Police said Bee had an adult probation warrant.
Drug charges: Matthew Ryan Harvey, 31, of 129 Hall Ave., Washington, was charged by Washington police with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and two traffic summary violations following an August traffic stop. Police said they stopped Harvey’s vehicle Aug. 30 at the intersection of Sumner and Hallam avenues. Police said they found Harvey with 22 packages of heroin and 10 packages of Suboxone in his pockets.
Criminal mischief: The manager of the Union Grill, on East Wheeling Street, reported to Washington police Monday that a large window was broken. Repairs will cost about $3,000. The restaurant is reviewing surveillance video footage as part of the investigation.
