Assault charge: Rachell Fawn Riter, 43, of Malvern, Ohio, was charged by state police with simple assault, possession of marijuana, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness following a disturbance at a hotel early Wednesday morning. Police said when they responded to the Ramada Inn on West Chestnut Street, Riter was yelling and smelled of alcohol. Police said she and another woman had been drinking at the hotel bar before getting into an argument in their shared room. Police said Riter attacked the woman, biting her leg and arm and punching her in the face. Police said that after arresting Riter, she continued to yell and “cause a scene.” Police also said they found a bottle with suspected marijuana in her purse.
MONESSEN
Drug charges: Two Monessen residents were charged by Monessen police after officers visited a residence at 205 Reed Ave. Marshall Tucker Lambert, 26, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and giving a false identification to law enforcement. Amanda Billion, 33, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Police arrived at the residence about 11:40 a.m. Saturday. They said Lambert was in possession of a Xanax pill. Police also reportedly found several empty heroin stamp bags, needles, a spoon, straws and a marijuana smoking bowl. Police said Lambert identified himself as his brother, giving police the wrong name.
SOUTH STRABANE
Theft charges: Two people are facing retail theft charges following an incident Nov. 7 at Lowe’s on Route 19. South Strabane police said Dustin Floyd Brooks, 26, of 64 Leoni Road, Bentleyville, was pushing a small child in a shopping cart about 3:50 p.m. when he concealed $90 worth of merchandise in a diaper bag. Dylan Zachary Pareso, 24, of 183 Muse Bishop Road, Muse, was with him and allegedly stole a $160 tool. They were each charged with retail theft. Pareso was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, as police said he was in possession of a crack pipe, syringe and burned spoon. Brooks is facing two other charges of retail theft in two separate cases, one in which he allegedly stole a $300 item from Target Oct. 3, and the other Nov. 11, when he allegedly stole electronics from Walmart.
