CANONSBURG

Attack reported: A man reported that he was attacked by a group of men he didn’t recognize about 2 a.m. Sunday morning in the 200 block of West Pike Street while he was walking home from a bar. He said at least one of them approached him on the street and called him a name before hitting him in the face, knocking him down. He later told police at Canonsburg Hospital that he could hear someone else behind him, but it wasn’t clear if that person also struck him. He reportedly heard a third person telling the other two to get in a vehicle, which he didn’t recognize, before they drove off. The victim had injuries to his mouth and forehead.

CANTON

Man arrested: State police charged Kori A. Thomas, 30, of East Washington on Friday with burglary, trespassing, criminal mischief and loitering. The charges stem from a report by Thomas’ ex-girlfriend that he’d gone into her Marra Avenue home while no one was there the evening before and caused an estimated $500 in damage. Thomas was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and freed on $50,000 unsecured bond.
