CECIL

Crash: Two people were taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals following a 5 p.m. crash Christmas Day on Interstate 79. State police said John M. O’Donnell, 58, of Pittsburgh, was traveling south when he swerved to miss a deer. State police said he lost control of the vehicle, traveled across the grass median and struck a northbound vehicle head-on. Police said the northbound vehicle was driven by Dylan J. Wilkerson, 22, of Moundsville, W.Va. Both men were believed to have suffered minor injuries. Cecil police and firefighters assisted at the scene.

COKEBURG

Drug charges: Lisa Irene Ruschell, 45, of 1 Mount Lookout Lane, Scenery Hill, was charged by state police with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and a summary traffic violation after she was stopped at a checkpoint Dec. 18 on state Route 917 in the borough. Police said Ruschell had a marijuana smoking device in her pocket along with two marijuana cigarettes in a plastic bag.

FINLEYVILLE

Disorderly conduct charge: Jennifer L. Haberstock, 38, of 3670 Finleyville Elrama Road, Finleyville, was charged by Monongahela police with giving false identification to police, obstructing the administration of law, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief following a disturbance Sunday night at Bob’s Tavern, in the 3700 block of state Route 88. Police said they responded to the bar just after 11 p.m. for the report of a four-person fight, in which people were breaking out windows. Police said they found Haberstock hiding behind a wall in the basement, her eye swollen and her mouth bloody. Police said the bar patrons and Haberstock would not cooperate with police. Police said Haberstock gave them the wrong name and identification, which they discovered Wednesday. Police said they are still investigating the incident and assessing the damage done to the bar, including a broken window and pool cue.

SOUTH STRABANE

Crash: One person was taken to Washington Hospital following a crash Wednesday morning on Interstate 70. Police said Mark P. Seirsdale, 30, of Washington, was trying to pass a vehicle in front of him in the right lane of the highway but struck the vehicle, causing it to crash into a concrete barrier. The second vehicle was driven by Robert G. Miller, 54, of Cameron, W.Va., who police said wasn’t injured. Seirsdale was believed to have suffered minor injuries.

WASHINGTON

Drug charges: Faith Ann Lohr, 20, was charged by state police with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct following a traffic stop Oct. 19 at West Chestnut Street and Hayes Avenue. Police said she was in possession of a small bag of marijuana.

Theft charge: Shiona Qushar Gilbert, 19, of 174 Jollick Manor, Washington, was charged by Washington police with theft after the owner of Buy & Sell Outlet on South Main Street called police Dec. 13. The owner told police that on Sept. 1, Gilbert sold him a Chromebook, which he discovered had been stolen from Washington School District. Police said Gilbert had been part of the district’s cyber program. She allegedly was supposed to return the computer in June, but instead sold it. The Chromebook was returned to the district, police said.

Missouri suspect arrested: Washington police responded to a residence in the 200 block of East Maiden Street at the request of a woman who wanted Jason Robert Collins, 42, of Missouri, removed from the property Sunday night. Police said Collins had an arrest warrant with full extradition out of Missouri.

Terroristic threats: Washington police responded to Shop ‘n Save, 125 W. Beau St., about 3:45 p.m. Christmas Eve for a report of a man making violent threats. The alleged victim, a 53-year-old Washington man, told police that when he parked his car in the lot at the store, a man got out of a green car and said to him, “I will shoot you in the face.” Police said the victim replied “Excuse me,” after which the suspect repeated the threat. Police said the victim didn’t know why the man threatened him. Police said the unknown suspect did not show a gun. Police determined the license plate on the suspect’s car was stolen, but officers could not locate the suspect.

Assault charge: Casondra Renee Mason, 27, of 1320 Allison Ave., Washington, was charged by Washington police with simple assault and harassment following an incident at her residence Dec. 18. Police said that just after 5 p.m., Mason arrived at the residence intoxicated and began assaulting a man, striking him in the right eye.

Drug charge: Shea Matthew Pryor, 32, of 434 McGovern Road, Washington, was charged by Washington County sheriff’s deputies with possession of drug paraphernalia after he reportedly failed a drug test Dec. 21. Pryor allegedly admitted to his probation officers that he used heroin that day. When the deputies arrested him at the Washington County Family Court Center, they said they found five empty stamp bags in his possession.
