Kenneth Cross has been hired as the director of special education in Trinity Area School District.

The Trinity school board approved Cross’s hiring at Thursday’s board meeting. Cross replaces Dr. Pamela Wolosky, who retired in January.

Cross’s annual salary will be $106,500. No start date has been set.

Cross comes to Trinity from Mt. Lebanon School District, where he served as director of special education.

He holds a master’s degree in education, specializing in special education, from Slippery Rock University and a bachelor’s degree in education from Clarion University.

In other business Thursday, the board approved the retirements of elementary teacher Kimberly Ciccarelli and high school teacher Rebecca Greer at the end of the school year.
