Centerville woman faces theft charges
A Centerville woman faces theft charges filed by two police departments.
Hayley Jo Bercosky, 29, of 220 Centerville Lane, was charged by East Bethlehem Township police with theft and access device fraud. Centerville police also charged her with theft.
East Bethlehem police accuse Bercosky of using a Vestaburg man’s credit card to make purchases and for cash advances totaling almost $18,190 between February and April 2017. The man told police he did not give her permission to use it. He discovered the card was missing April 19.
Centerville police said she allegedly stole $60 from her grandmother Jan. 22. Police said she hugged her grandmother and then grabbed the older woman’s purse and ran out of the home on Centerville Lane.
Bercosky was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger on the East Bethlehem charges and placed in Washington County jail on $20,000 bond. The Centerville charge were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis. She will have a preliminary hearing on both cases later this month before Kanalis.
