Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Among those appearing before Judge Gary Gilman were:
James Riley May IV, 26, 666 Fayette St., Washington; accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving with a suspended license and driving with no insurance; charged May 23; sentence – three to 18 months in jail, $525 fine and 12-month driver’s license suspension.
Kirsty Marie Thorpe, 28, 710 Seventh St., North Charleroi; simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia; charged June 7; sentence – 12 months of probation.
Walter John Beatty IV, 40, 2884 S Bridge Road, Washington; unsworn falsification to authorities, access device fraud, flight to avoid apprehension and possession of a controlled substance; charged Oct. 14, 2014, Aug. 1, 2015 and Sept. 26, 2016; sentence – one year in the intermediate punishment program and eight months on electronic home monitoring.
Michael A. Holmes, 35, 138 W. College St., Apt. B, Canonsburg; accidents involving death or personal injury and driving with a suspended license; charged March 21; sentence – 23 months in the intermediate punishment program, three months on electronic home monitoring, $200 fine and 12-month driver’s license suspension.
Russell Isaiah Porter, 22, 121 Poplar St., Washington; simple possession; charged Feb. 7, 2016; sentence – 6 to 12 months in jail.
Keilan Lamont Johnson, 22, 145 McVey St., Sturgeon; possession with intent to deliver; charged Oct. 23, 2016; sentence – 10 days to 23 months in jail.
Brenda L. Conrad-Roberts, 51, 105½ Lookout Ave., Charleroi; simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Aug. 28; sentence – 12 months of probation without verdict.
Cody Lee Rose, 19, 111 Second St., Vestaburg; disorderly conduct and careless driving; charged June 11; sentence – $325 fine.
Darien William Martin, 24, 296 Barnard Road, Fredericktown; disorderly conduct; charged Aug. 2; sentence – $300 fine.
Nathan Robert Weydener, 28, 5 Shouptown Circle, Strabane; simple assault; charged April 16; sentence – 11½ to 23 months in jail and no contact with the victims.
Freddie Eugene Kimbrew Jr., 33, 464 E. Hallam Ave., Washington; theft by deception, possession of drug paraphernalia; three counts of retail theft; charged Oct. 28, 2016 and Jan 16 and 18, 2017; sentence – three years of probation, restitution and no contact with Family Dollar and Walmart.
James Mayen, 37, 206 North Ave., Washington; theft and receiving stolen property; charged July 21, 2016 and Jan. 27, 2017; sentence – 12 months of probation, restitution and no contact with the victims and Giant Eagle.
Trey Zachary Holmes, 22, 1115 Miller St., Monessen; possession with intent to deliver and carrying firearm without a license; charged July 31, 2015, and March 21, 2016; sentence – five years of probation, 23 months in the intermediate punishment program and six months on electronic home monitoring.
Greg Allen Adams Jr., 35, 275 North Ave., Apt. G-2, Washington; retail theft; charged Oct. 6; sentence – 12 months of probation and no contact with Kohl’s.
Brenda Anthony, 48, 313 Third St., Donora; false identification to a law enforcement officer; charged Oct. 30; sentence – six months of probation.
Jessica Lynn McLaughlin, 40, 240 Sunset Boulevard, Washington; false identification to a law enforcement officer; charged Oct. 23; sentence – 12 months of probation.
Vincent Clark Johnson, 27, 185 Gallatin Drive, Donora; simple assault; charged Nov. 11; sentence – two years of probation and no contact with the victim.
Sara N. Morrison, 24, 380 Wherry Road, Bentleyville; disorderly conduct; charged May 11, 2015; sentence – $300 fine.
Russell Lookhart, 30, 203 North Ave., Charleroi; cruelty to animals; charged Aug. 19, 2016; sentence – two months in jail, 23 months in the intermediate punishment program, restitution and no contact with the victim or her animals.
Kelly Marie Kover, 18, 1176 Bruce St., Washington; theft by unlawful taking, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of burglary; charged March 15 and 30 and June 14, 2017; sentence – 11½ to 23 months in jail, three years of probation, restitution, no contact with the victim and banned from 1227 Davis Ave. in Canton Township, Washington Park and McGuffey Park.
Leland R. Samples, 41, 221 Valley View Terrace, Canonsburg; simple assault and criminal mischief; charged May 22; sentence – 23 months of probation, $150 fine, restitution and no contact with the victims.
Shane A. Kovatch, 32, 88 N. Main St., Washington; theft by deception, theft and possession of drug paraphernalia; charged May 19; sentence – six to 23 months in jail, two years of probation, restitution and no contact with the victims.
Charles Thomas Work, 50, 921 Wayne St., Washington; simple assault and driving with a suspended license; charged June 15; sentence – two years of probation, 60 days on electronic home monitoring and no contact with the victim.
David John Alexander, 28, 214 N. Gallatin Ave., Uniontown; theft; charged March 13; sentence – 12 months of probation, restitution and no contact with Fourth Street Barbeque.
Elijah Malik White, 19, 432 Liberty Ave., Donora; corruption of minors and furnishing alcohol to minors; charged March 18; sentence – 12 months of probation.
Kyle Richard Fattman, 19, 231 Smithfield St., Canonsburg; terroristic threats; charged May 9; sentence – five years of probation, 100 hours of community service and no contact with Canon-McMillan High School.
Andrea Dawn Firtik, 40, 1317 Sheridan Ave., Brownsville; retail theft; charged Aug. 10; sentence – six months of probation, restitution and no contact with Walmart.
Hirunda K. Wallace, 40, 95 Sumner Ave., Washington; simple possession; charged Aug. 8; sentence – 3 to 12 months in jail.

Samayah Winston, 28, 8470 Limekiln Pike, Suite B, Wyncote; driving under the influence; charged May 4]; sentence – five years in the intermediate punishment program, six months on electronic home monitoring, $1,500 fine, 18-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months of ignition interlock device.
David Jeffrey Plants, 49, 306 East Buffalo Church Road, Washington; DUI and failure to notify police of an accident; charged March 29; sentence – two years in the intermediate punishment program, six months on electronic home monitoring, $525 fine, 12-month driver’s license suspension, 12 months of ignition interlock device and 100 hours of community service.
Christopher John Veltre, 33, 926 Ten Mile Road, Marianna; two counts of DUI; charged Oct. 25, 2015 and Jan. 8, 2017; sentence – five years in the intermediate punishment program, six months on electronic home monitoring, $2,500 fine, 30-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months of ignition interlock device.
James Lee Williams Jr., 59, 16 Ridge St., Clarksville; DUI, driving with a suspended license, possession of prohibited firearms and possession of heroin/cocaine; charged Oct. 4, 2014 and April 2, 2015; sentence – five years in the intermediate punishment program, 12 months of probation, six months on electronic home monitoring, $1,300 fine and 100 hours of community service.
Franklin M. Pollack, 58, 6 Shady Lane, Canonsburg; DUI; charged Sept. 16, 2016; sentence – six months in the intermediate punishment program, five days on electronic home monitoring, $500 fine and 12-month driver’s license suspension.
Mason Timothy Kusky, 21, 160 Wiley Ave., Strabane; DUI; charged Sept. 28, 2016; sentence – six months in the intermediate punishment program, 10 days on electronic home monitoring, $1,000 fine and 12-month driver’s license suspension.
Kimberly Colbert, 32, 127 Factory St., Monongahela; DUI; charged Jan. 30, 2017; sentence – six months in the intermediate punishment program, 10 days on electronic home monitoring, $500 fine and 12-month driver’s license suspension.
Jessica Ann Childs, 37, 133 Good Intent Road, Claysville; DUI and driving with a suspended license; charged March 30; sentence – 72 hours in jail, six months in the intermediate punishment program, 30 days on electronic home monitoring, $1,200 fine and 12-month driver’s license suspension.
Justin Paglisotti, 25, 156 Liberty Ave., Midland; reckless driving and restrictions on alcoholic beverages; charged May 10; sentence – $225 fine, restitution and six-month driver’s license suspension.
