MORGAN

Single-vehicle crash: No one was injured when a car drove into a ditch about 11 p.m. Sunday in Morgan Township. State police said a car traveling east on Route 188 just west of Lippincott Road drove off the side of the road and crashed. No information on the driver was included in the police report.

Two-vehicle crash: No injuries were reported in a rear-end crash shortly before 9:30 p.m. Friday. State police said Kacee D. McMillan, 27, of Waynesburg, was driving behind Sandra J. Palone of Jefferson, on Jefferson Road north of Prison Road in Morgan Township. Palone stopped suddenly, and McMillan was unable to stop, police said.

JEFFERSON

Hit-and-run crash: State police said a car traveling north on Highland Avenue, west of Wilson Avenue, hit a mailbox on the right side of the road in Jefferson Township about 7:30 p.m. Friday. The driver left without stopping, police said.

WAYNESBURG

Assault, harassment charges: Christy L. McCarty, 44, of 52 W. Greene St., Waynesburg, was charged Monday with simple assault and harassment. Travis A. Barlow, along with additional witnesses, told Waynesburg police McCarty punched him Feb. 8 after he confronted her as McCarty walked by Barlow’s door in the apartment building at 52 W. Greene St. Police said Barlow had a bloody nose.
