AMWELL
Assault warrant: State police obtained an arrest warrant for Kevin Dwayne Kiskadden, 55, of 210 Pettit Road, Amity. He is charged with strangulation, simple assault and harassment for allegedly choking his girlfriend during a Feb. 6 incident at their home. He is accused of grabbing her, pinning her down and choking her until she blacked out. Police said he fled before officers arrived.
BUFFALO
Drug charges: Ashley Renee Poland, 34, of 340 Reese Road, Washington, was charged last week by state police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and a traffic violation stemming from a Jan. 28 traffic stop in the 200 block of McKee Road, Buffalo. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
CANONSBURG
Probation violation alleged: Charles Scott Roman Jr., 47, of 30 ½ W. Pike St., Canonsburg, was taken into custody on a probation violation Monday night after he was seen by Canonsburg police walking along West Pike Street. He was placed in Washington County jail on the violation.
CANTON
Drug arrest: Charles Lee Levers, 50, of Finleyville, was taken into custody early Tuesday on charges of possession with intent to deliver and distribute heroin and possession of a controlled substance. State police served a search warrant in January 2015 at a home in the 100 block of Bench Avenue in Canton. Police said they found Levers with 12 bundles of heroin in his pants pocket, along with $293. Police said they also found a bag of marijuana, Suboxone strips and another $400. Police said Levers failed to respond when charges were initially filed, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and released on his own recognizance.
NORTH STRABANE
One injured: Pamela Wudkwych, 55, of McDowell Lane, Canonsburg, was injured when her vehicle and a vehicle driven by Samantha Mueller, 33, of McBurney Road, Canonsburg, collided Monday morning on McDowell Lane. North Strabane police said Mueller’s vehicle slid on a bend and struck Wudkwych’s vehicle, which was going in the opposite direction. Wudkwych was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment.
UNION
Driver injured: Kassy Rapp, 26, of Monongahela, was injured when she crashed her car about 8:45 p.m. Monday in the 3700 block of Route 88, Union. Monongahela police said an off-duty trooper saw her drive at a high speed out of the parking lot at Bob’s Tavern and crash into guardrails before striking a metal bridge. She had to be freed from the vehicle by Finleyville firefighters. Rapp was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment of back and neck injuries. Police said Rapp, who showed no signs of impairment, will be charged with reckless driving.
WASHINGTON
Identity stolen: Charles Williams of Washington told Washington police Monday he tried to get a state identification card from the state Department of Transportation but was told he could not because someone already had used his name and birth date to get a card.
