LETTER Lamb will vote with Pelosi

Regarding Gary Stout’s commentary in the Sunday Observer-Reporter supporting the candidacy of Democrat Conor Lamb in the 18th Congressional District, is he seriously suggesting that there is any comparison between an inexperienced, far-left liberal like Lamb and a proven bipartisan legislator like Republican Rick Saccone?

Stout struggles to point out anything positive about Lamb, other than “he has a calm demeanor and a Kennedyesque appearance.” Those aren’t qualifications I would use to choose a congressman. Lamb has never held elective office, has never been involved in the legislative process, and knows nothing about the political process in Washington, D.C. His qualifications? A political family, political connections and “he seems nice.”

The reality is he is young, inexperienced and a far-left liberal who is afraid to reveal his true stances on issues important to our district. Lamb says he will be an independent moderate, but that is not an option for a first-term congressman with no experience. Lamb will certainly vote with Nancy Pelosi for higher taxes, more job-strangling regulations and stagnant wages.
