The Catholic Church teaches that life begins at conception, and taking an innocent life is murder. Conor Lamb, the Democratic candidate in the 18th Congressional District, recently stated, “I come from a Catholic background, (but) choice is the law of the land.” A Catholic politician, however, is required to publicly defend life because of his position of authority.

Lamb believes he can hold a private conviction while publicly proposing the opposite. Yet many Catholics have faced martyrdom for their public defense of truth when it was not “the law of the land.” Lamb’s Republican rival Rick Saccone, on the other hand, is unafraid to proclaim his pro-life stance.

Let us endeavor to elect the leader who will defend the morality of life, and that is Saccone.
