Escape charge: Nathaniel Lee Chipps, 21, was charged with escape after Greene County detectives said he failed to return to the Greene County jail Feb. 2 after he was permitted to leave for 48 hours during an in-patient rehabilitation stay offsite. Chipps was located Feb. 8 at a residence near Clarksville.
PERRY
Hit-and-run crash: Jason Alan Cooley, 28, of Blacksville, W.Va., was charged Wednesday with DUI, accident involving damage, false reports and several traffic citations after Greene County Regional police said he crashed into a car and guardrail near 164 Wades Run Road in Perry Township in the early hours of Feb. 3. Police said Cooley got into another vehicle and left the scene.
