BENTLEYVILLE
Man charged: Joshua Wayne Skirble, 25, of 1005 Old West Road, Bentleyville, is charged by borough police with making or selling an offensive weapon, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accuse Skirble of illegally having a BB gun as a felon during a traffic stop about 11:15 a.m. Feb. 9 in the 800 block of Main Street. Police filed the charges Friday before District Judge Curtis Thompson.
Man charged: Jason Rusilko, 30, whose address is unknown, is charged by borough police with theft, burglary and trespassing over accusations he and another suspect entered Good Times on Tap, 907 Main St., about 3:40 a.m. Jan. 31 to steal liquor valued at $306, court records show. District Judge Curtis Thompson signed a warrant last week for Rusilko’s arrest.
CANONSBURG
Driver faces charges: Alfred Quevi Jr., 51, of 323 Queen St., McDonald, will be charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he almost collided with a Canonsburg police cruiser. He was driving west when he crossed the center line. The officer, who was driving eastbound, had to pull off the right side of the road before Quevi swerved his vehicle back into his lane. Quevi, who told the officer he was reaching for a piece of pizza, had a blood alcohol content 1½ times the 0.08 limit presumed for intoxication.
CANTON
Strangulation arrest: Vaughn Dion Dubielak, 44, of 1520 Jefferson Ave., Washington, was arraigned Saturday before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of strangulation, simple assault and harassment. He is accused of choking his girlfriend Thursday night after they argued about him messaging other women on Facebook. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
CHARLEROI
Warrants signed: Robert B. Watrous, 54, of 839 Washington Ave., Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with drug possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accuse Watrous of selling crack to a confidential informant about 2:35 a.m. Oct. 11 at 337 Washington Avenue. In a separate case, Watrous is charged by Charleroi police with theft and access device fraud over allegations he used a banking card issued to Leonard Chestnut last month to steal $236 from him. District Judge Larry Hopkins signed warrants Friday for Watrous’ arrest.
Man charged: Eric C. Diperna, 26, of 330 Ohio St., Clairton, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with giving an officer a false identification during a traffic stop about 3:10 a.m. Friday in the 800 block of Blythe Way, court records show. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charge in a summons.
CHARTIERS
Sticker stolen: An employee of First Transit, 2439 W. Pike St., told Chartiers police Monday an inspection sticker was stolen from the business.
Tool stolen: Darrell Smith, 144 Cummins Ave., told Chartiers police Sunday a vehicle scan tool valued at $2,500 was stolen from his unlocked pickup truck.
DONEGAL
Driver injured: Mark A. Palmer, 52, of East Liverpool, Ohio, was injured when his rig crashed off Interstate 70 west, Donegal, state police said. The truck struck a guardrail before going down an embankment about 5 p.m. Monday.
HOPEWELL
Driver charged: Jeffrey Crompton, 29, of Washington, was charged Monday by state police with failure to notify police of a crash, leaving the scene of an accident, restrictions on alcoholic beverage and several traffic violations after he fled from a Feb. 12 crash on Brush Run Road, Hopewell. Police said he was going east when he hit a guardrail, traveled 150 feet and came to rest in a yard in the 2300 block of Brush Run. The charges were filed at the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
MONONGAHELA
Drug arrest: Richard Lee Jackson, 57, of 110 Lincoln Ave., Charleroi, was arrested Sunday by Monongahela police on charges of possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of paraphernalia after he was found with the drug during a traffic stop about 5 p.m. Sunday at West Main and Second streets. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and released.
SOUTH STRABANE
Wallet stolen: Glenda Umensetter of Washington told South Strabane police Monday her wallet containing bank cards, a Target gift card and $35 was stolen from her shopping cart at Walmart, Trinity Point.
Theft charge: Mariko Denise Knox, 34, of Pittsburgh, was charged last week by South Strabane police with retail theft after she allegedly stole items valued at $524 from Hobby Lobby, Old Mill shops, Feb. 6. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Assault, disorderly charges: Peter Delmer, 42, of 139 W. College St., Canonsburg, was charged last week by South Strabane police with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after he allegedly assaulted a woman Feb. 10 outside Walmart, Trinity Point. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
WASHINGTON
Parole violator: Corey Maxwell, 34, of 1899 Craft Creek Road, Claysville, was placed in Washington County jail on a state parole violation following a traffic stop Monday at Hall Avenue and Franklin Street, Washington police said. He also faces drug possession charges.
Vehicle damaged: Nicholas Sandy, 480 Shirls Ave., told Washington police Monday vandals broke the windshield and dented the hood of his vehicle while it was parked at his home.
