On Feb. 19, KDKA-TV hosted a debate between 18th Congressional District candidates Conor Lamb and Rick Saccone.

Saccone cites his military career and service in North Korea defending our country among his qualifications. He stated he has found no voter in this district who is concerned about the Russia investigation. Well, if necessary, I will stand alone in support of the special counsel’s investigation.

Regardless of his previous service, Saccone parrots Trump’s claim that voters do not care, and ignores the Russian attack on the 2016 presidential election. This is reckless, irresponsible and un-American.

Saccone continues to boast of the Trump tax cuts, which are minimal, temporary cuts for the lower and middle classes, and large permanent cuts for businesses and the “overburdened” 1 percent.

If elected Saccone, will kowtow before the self-proclaimed “very stable genius,” and worship in the temple of trickle-down economics, while our true patriots carry on with the defense of our democracy.
