A fire Monday morning destroyed a trailer on Lewis Road in Somerset Township, but did not damage any other nearby residences. There were no injuries.

The blaze broke out about 8 a.m., and Craig Pysh, chief of Ellsworth Volunteer Fire Co., said it was fully involved when his unit arrived. He said the lone resident, Robert Lewicki, escaped and called in the emergency, saying it started when he attempted to thaw frozen water lines.

Pysh said he does not know what Lewicki may have used to heat the lines.

Fallowfield Township fire, Valley Inn fire and Bearcat EMS also responded.

The victim’s nephew, Jason Lewicki, has organized a Go Fund Me page for his uncle: https://www.gofundme.com/house-replacement-fund.
