CALIFORNIA
Two charged: Matthew Daniels, 41, of West Mifflin, and Thomas Edward Turner, 40, of Elizabeth, were charged last week by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis with possession of marijuana. The two were charged by California police after a Dec. 8 traffic stop on Wood Street near California Road.
CANONSBURG
One injured: Jacqueline Povich, 25, of Peco Street, Canonsburg, was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment after police say her vehicle was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by Amanda Hart, 33, of 179 Woodridge Drive, Canonsburg. Canonsburg police said the crash happened about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of East Pike Street.
CANTON
Theft charge: Christopher Dale Irwin, 44, of 485 Henderson Ave., Washington, was charged Wednesday by state police with theft and criminal mischief. He is accused of stealing two security cameras from Extreme Plastics Plus, 1478 Jefferson Ave., Canton, by cutting the wires on Dec. 17. Police said he was a former employee of the business. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
CHARLEROI
Theft alleged: Paul Labryer Sr., 42, of 404 Lookout Ave., Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with three counts each of corruption of minors and receiving stolen property and six counts of theft, court records show. Police accuse Labryer of encouraging two children to visit three residences in the Charleroi Area School District to sell items valued at $102 for a fundraiser that were never delivered between Sept. 22 and Oct 16. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charges last week via summons.
NORTH STRABANE
Dirt bike recovered: A Suzuki dirt bike reported stolen in July by a Chartiers Township man was recovered Tuesday afternoon off Chubbic Road in North Strabane. Township police said a Canonsburg man found it several weeks ago under leaves along a woodline. He put it in his garage and tried to find the owner before contacting police.
WASHINGTON
Man robbed: Niko Harris, 33, of Washington, told Washington police early Wednesday that a man he knew as “Antonio” robbed him at gunpoint of his cellphone, identification and Social Security card in the 400 block of North Main Street.
Coat, boots stolen: Jackie Marshall of North Strabane Township told Washington police that her red Michael Kors coat, black boots, black gloves and car keys were stolen late Tuesday night from a break room at Washington Hospital, Wilson Avenue. Charges are pending against the woman caught on surveillance stealing the items, police said.
Money stolen: Jessica Harvey of 447 Extension Ave. told Washington police that $70 was stolen from her home Tuesday.
Theft of money: Sara Cessna of Washington told Washington police Tuesday that $200 was stolen from her purse while she was at 174 N. Main St.
Window damaged: A window was reported damaged Tuesday at Intoxicating Tattoos, 148 N. Main St., Washington police said.
