BOBTOWN – One person was injured in a collision with a coal truck in Monongahela Township Monday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the crash on Bobtown Road at Sit Still Road near the Dunkard Township line just after 2 p.m. after the coal truck and SUV collided.
One person was taken to an area hospital by EMS Southwest, but it was unclear what hospital or the condition of the victim. The driver of the coal truck did not need to be transported and only sustained minor injuries, state police said.
A state police crash reconstruction team arrived at the scene at about 3:45 p.m. to determine exactly how the crash happened. State police declined to release any additional information at the scene, including names of those involved in the crash.
The road was closed for several hours. Bobtown/Dunkard Township and Greensboro firefighters assisted at the scene.
