BLAINE
Trespass: A vehicle pushed open and damaged a gate to property owned by Shell Oil Co., 102 Neely School Road, Saturday or Sunday and then rode around the property, state police said.
BURGETTSTOWN
Flees from deputy: Jonathan Eugene Martin, 25, of 1847 Avella Road, Avella, was charged by a Washington County sheriff’s deputy with fleeing or attempting to elude police, flight to avoid apprehension, driving under suspension and driving a vehicle with expired inspection Jan. 11 on Route 18 and Bridge Street, Burgettstown. Martin fled in the vehicle before getting out and running. He was later found at a home in Burgettstown. Martin was taken into custody on a bench warrant and placed in Washington County jail. He has since been released. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.
CHARTIERS
Four injured: Four people, including a 4-month-old infant, were injured Sunday afternoon when their van went off Route 519 near Paxton Road, Chartiers police said. Solenny A. Ortiz Ozoria, 31, of Westland, was driving north on Route 519 when he went around a bend. The vehicle hit slush and slid, hit an embankment and rolled over. Ozoria, the baby and other two children were taken to Washington Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. He was cited for driving without a license.
MONESSEN
Woman charged: Lindsay Ann Karpoff, 34, of 235 W. Chestnut St., Washington, is charged by Monessen police with possession of suspected heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct stemming from traffic stop about 5:40 p.m. Jan. 9 in the 900 block of Donner Avenue, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges Tuesday via summons.
NORTH FRANKLIN
Vehicle damaged: A vehicle owned by Alex M. Diesel, 3020 Bedillion Road, Washington, was damaged during a Jan. 6 disturbance in the parking lot at 1294 W. Chestnut St., North Franklin police said. There was $1,590 in damage to the fender of the vehicle. Charges are pending against a Claysville woman.
ROSTRAVER
Theft alleged: Teresa Marie Lilley, 43, of 169 W. Main St., Monongahela, is charged by township police with theft over allegations she rented property valued at $5,655 from Prime Rentals, 691 Tyrol Boulevard, Nov. 16 and later stopped making payments, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charge Tuesday via summons.
SOUTH STRABANE
Theft arrest: Gary Coleman Jr., 25, of 208 Ridge Ave., Washington, was charged last week by South Strabane police with retail theft after he allegedly stole $197 in exercise equipment from Walmart, Trinity Point, Oct. 25. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
WASHINGTON
Man injured: A man using a motorized wheelchair was injured just before 8 a.m Wednesday when he was struck by a vehicle leaving McDonald’s on Jefferson Avenue. Washington police said the man was operating the wheelchair north in the southbound lane of Jefferson when he was struck by a green sport utility vehicle. The vehicle left the scene, going south on Jefferson. The man, whose name was not immediately available, was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-223-4226.
Assault charge: Michael Jackson, 42, of Jollick Manor, faces a simple assault charge, accused of punching Portia Owens in the face Dec. 13. City police said they responded to a call from Jackson’s apartment 3:30 p.m. and saw him fleeing as they arrived. Owens told police she and a friend were seated on an inflatable mattress and Jackson became angry and stabbed the mattress with a knife. Owens, according to police, said Jackson then punched her multiple times. He was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Robert Redlinger and released from Washington County jail the following day on a $10,000 percentage bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 29.
Money stolen: Kathie Summers of Washington told Washington police Tuesday her debit card was stolen and $1,750 was withdrawn from her account. She did not discover it was stolen until she received a notice from the bank she had $210 in overdraft fees.
