Harassment charges: April Alkire, 23, of 324 First St., Adah, was charged Tuesday with harassment in two separate incidents. In the first, Cumberland Township police said Norma Bowser contacted them Dec. 7, 2017, because her boyfriend’s former girlfriend, Alkire, would not stop messaging her, despite being told to stop. In the second, Bowser reached out to police again Jan. 10 and said Alkire was contacting her and Justin Williams via text messages that were threatening and hostile.
Theft, receiving charges: Two men have been charged in connection with the theft of a debit card from a gas station in Carmichaels Dec. 25. Timothy Shane Self, 32, of 315 Parkview Knoll, Carmichaels, and Steven Edward Hawk, 23, of 324 Monongahela Ave., Westover, W.Va., face charges of engaging in a criminal conspiracy. Self also is charged with theft and receiving stolen property. Surveillance footage from the gas station shows the two men walking off with a card that had been left at a checkout counter, Cumberland Township police said.

Tools stolen: State police are investigating the theft of tools and water-treatment items from the Brave Water Control Building on Toms Run Road Wednesday or Thursday.
