A Chicago man was jailed after Washington Regional SWAT executed a search warrant at a Washington residence Monday.

Pyreese C. Wallace, 34, was arrested by the Washington County Drug Task Force on charges of possession with intent to deliver crack and possession of paraphernalia after detectives said they found him with 23 rocks of crack during the search of a home at 666 Fayette Street. Detectives said they also found a scale and sandwich bags.

According to a news release put out by District Attorney Eugene Vittone, the drug task force had been investigating the residence for weeks. State police, Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Washington City K-9 unit assisted in the search.

Wallace was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and placed in Washington County Jail on $250,000 bond.
