CUMBERLAND
Burglary charges: Brett D. Davis, 29, of 514 E. George St., Carmichaels, was charged Saturday with burglary, four counts of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and criminal trespass. Cumberland Township police responded to a burglary at 5:54 p.m. Dec. 25 in the 500 block of South Eighty-Eight Road. The family returned home and noticed a crossbow on the couch, where it had not been before. The living room window was open, and the homeowner noticed four of his rifles, which had been locked in a gun cabinet, outside the window. That’s when the homeowner said he saw Davis.
DUNKARD
Single-vehicle crash: No one was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Power Plant Road Wednesday. Alejandro Perez, 21, of Morgantown, W.Va., was charged with driving at an unsafe speed after his vehicle hit a railroad tunnel about a mile south of South Eighty-Eight Road just after 10 p.m.
GREENE
Minor injury in crash: State police are investigating a crash at 8:39 p.m. Saturday on Garards Fort Road. Craig S. Williams Jr., 23, of Bobtown, was driving east when his vehicle began to spin. The vehicle then hit a guardrail. Police filed a traffic citation against Williams, who suffered a minor injury.
MONONGAHELA
Drug charges: Dakota Skylar Palone, 18, of 1476 S. Eighty-Eight Road, Greensboro, was charged Friday with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. State police arrived at Palone’s residence with juvenile probation to assist with a compliance check. Police said they saw about 230 suspected Xanax pills and empty baggies. Also near Palone, they said, were eight containers of suspected THC oil and vaporizer parts. Police said Palone had $2,400 in cash and 12 empty baggies in his wallet.
WAYNESBURG
Assault and harassment charges: TR Madison Parker, 33, of Taylorsville, Miss., was charged Saturday with simple assault and harassment. Waynesburg Borough police responded to 240 E. South St. at 6 p.m. Saturday. Erica Rutan told police Parker threw a plate of food at her and hit her in the head.
Resisting arrest charge: Theodore Eugene Gibbs, 26, of 233 Presock Road, Greensboro, was charged Saturday with resisting arrest. Waynesburg Borough police were sent to Sunoco at 10 E. Greene St. for a report of a wanted person. Gibbs reportedly ran from police south on Church Street, despite warnings that police would use a Taser. Police fired a Taser, but only one of the probes connected, and they said Gibbs continued to run before he was caught on Lincoln Street. Gibbs was taken to Greene County jail on a West Virginia warrant.
