No one was injured in a fire Monday that gutted a mobile home in the Florence area of Hanover Township.

Hanover assistant fire Chief Mark Wilson said the call came in just before 5:30 p.m. to 98 Verelest Lane. The trailer is owned by Carol Brancheck and rented by her son, Eric Brancheck, and his wife.

No one was home at the time, but Eric Brancheck arrived a short time after the fire was discovered and was able to rescue his three dogs.

Wilson said township police used a fire extinguisher to partially knock down the fire before it erupted again. The trailer was a total loss, he added. The Red Cross is assisting the family.

The state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.

Assisting Hanover were firefighters from Burgettstown, Eldersville and Hanover Township in Beaver County.
