Authorities investigate death along Yough River in Rostraver
ROSTRAVER – The Westmoreland County coroner’s office investigated a death Tuesday morning along the Youghiogheny River in Rostraver Township.
A spokesman for Coroner Kenneth A. Bacha said drowning was not the suspected cause of the death that was discovered near an area known locally as Smithton Beach off Route 981.
Rostraver police said the death did not appear to be suspicious.
Police said the identity of the victim would be released upon the notification of the next-of-kin.
