Necklace stolen: A nursing director at Premier Health Care, 36 Old Hickory Ridge Road, told Chartiers police Tuesday afternoon a gold crucifix on a thin gold chain was stolen from a patient.

WASHINGTON

Man hit by van: Lawrence Smith of Washington was struck about 10:10 p.m. Thursday while on his motorized wheelchair at West Wheeling and South Franklin streets. Washington police said witnesses saw a white van going north on South Franklin when the van struck Smith, knocking him off the wheelchair. The driver initially pulled over but then fled. A witness told police the driver was a short, stocky white man with a red beard who appeared to be in his 30s or 40s. Smith was taken to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of a head injury.

Bank card used: Nellie Salansky of Summerlea Avenue told Washington police Thursday her debit card was used three times in the last week at GetGo, East Wylie Avenue. She said a total of $340 was withdrawn from her account.

Money stolen: Heather Saffel of Ewing Street, Washington, told city police Thursday $80 was stolen from her wallet while she was at Goodwill, West Beau Street.
